Charlee Fraser reveals what it was like working with Chris Hemsworth on Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

For Aussie model and actress Charlee Fraser, her first foray into acting was something most actors could only dream of.

Fraser, 29, landed her very first acting gig in acclaimed director George Miller's Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, opposite Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy.

Fraser, who is also known for Anyone But You, has reflected on her time shooting the hit film, telling 9honey Celebrity it was "one of the most incredible experiences of her life".

She also spoke about what it was like working with Hemsworth, 40, saying he's "incredibly cool, very professional and very chill".

"It was my first film so I was throwing myself into the deep end of everything; being in a massive film franchise and first film, big shoes to fill, next to A-list actors, putting myself out there for this role," she says.

"I've just grown so much."

Speaking about Hemsworth, Fraser gushed about the Hollywood star and called him a "normal dude".

"With Chris, there is one scene we're actually together as there's a lot of chasing in the film... he is incredibly cool, very professional, very chill, very good at his job, knows his character so well," she says.

"It was really awesome to work with an actor so good in their field and to just be on set and experience a scene with someone who has been in the industry for so long," she says.

"It was great to lean on him for advice and ask questions. He's just a normal dude. A great, normal, chilled dude, wonderful."

In the film, she plays Furiosa's mother, Mary Jabassa, with Taylor-Joy portraying Furiosa.

But the pair actually don't have any scenes together in the film, but they did cross paths on set one day. The film was shot in Australia.

"We had a really big embrace and we said, 'it was really nice to meet you, you've been doing amazing,' that was the first and only moment we got," Fraser explains.

Fraser spent months preparing for the role, including learning how to use firearms, learning martial arts and horse riding.

"There was so much involved," she says.

"[Jabassa] She is a warrior, mother and leader of this place and with her comes many, many skills."

Fraser, who hails from Newcastle in northern NSW, says she "sobbed" when she first hear that she had landed the role in the film.

"I did this audition and was like, 'you know what whatever happens is meant to happen and I'm just going to let it go, I did it to the best of my ability,"' she says.

"I was sobbing, I threw myself into it with nothing to lose... so when I got it, I was just in shock and so excited, I didn't realise how much it deeply, deeply meant to me."
